Vadnais Heights Restaurants

Vadnais Heights and its neighboring communities have a lot of great spots to eat.

Cabin 61

This place really looks like a cabin both outside and in. It has a relaxed, up north vibe to it, but it’s the food that keeps me coming back. They take care to do things right and it really shows. Some favorites of ours are the brisket sandwich, mushroom swiss burger and the jalapeno popper grilled cheese. The tater tots are really good here, finished crispy. They’ve got a lot of other things we are excited to try.

Restaurants in Vadnais Heights

Macaluso’s Road House

This place is well named as it is tucked away just off of 35E. Just a short drive down Labore Road from Willow Lake Dental, Macaluso’s is a great place to grab a beer. Their pizza is really good, and you can try your luck at bingo and pull-tabs. It’s on my way to the Vadnais Heights Post Office, and is definitely a tempting diversion. I’ve met friends there for a beer after the kids are in bed, and it’s always a friendly environment with good deals on cold beer and cocktails. It’s more attractive among Vadnais Heights restaurants.

Mad Jacks Sports Cafe

Mad Jacks is just across 35E from us on County Road E. I like going here to catch a few minutes of a game if I have some time to myself. I’ve had several lunch meetings here for work and the food and service is always on point. Mad Jacks always has something going on from bands, bike and car events and benefits. They also have pull-tabs and bingo.

Jimmy’s

You can’t talk about restaurants in Vadnais Heights without mentioning Jimmy’s. It’s a local landmark for a reason. Whether you want to grab a table for the family, or meet friends at the bar for a drink or to watch the game, Jimmy’s has you covered. They host a lot of events for local business groups, so I’ve been able to see their excellent catering services first hand. Jimmy’s is actually part of the Willow Lake Dental story. Back when we were first looking for locations for Dr. Tracy’s practice, I had made plans to meet some friends at Jimmy’s to watch the Vikings game. Tracy was dropping me off before meeting up with her parents, but we decided to stop by and check out an office condo for sale nearby, fast forward to today and that condo is now Willow Lake Dental.

Sak’s

Looking for a some dinner and a beer after a hockey game at the Vadnais Heights Sports Center? You don’t have to go very far, Sak’s is connected to the arena! We like to come here and sit on the large patio. They have a chicken sandwich with a house made cucumber sauce that is really good. They also have volleyball leagues.

Old Clover Inn

A Vadnais Heights landmark. Located next to the fire station on Cty Rd. F, the Old Clover Inn is a throwback bar that reminds me of being “up north”. They have pull-tabs and a Friday night meat raffle.

Vadnais Heights Restaurants are increasing day by day. We’ll be adding another post as we get out to more local spots around Vadnais Heights.
